single "momming" it!

So, Fabio is in Oklahoma for an FAA training class. He's been gone since last tuesday, and so, I'm living the life of a single mom.
Well, my sister has been around my house, or I've been at hers with the boys, but when it comes right down to it, I'm the one who's ultimately responsible for the boys' well-being, education, behavior-correcting duties, and everything else. Let me just stop and say that if any single mom is reading this, I honor you! I'm in awe of you! I pray for you!
So, needless to say, these have been exhausting days!
To add to that, we've had an incredible amount of snow here in NYC, so you can begin to get a glimpse of my state of mind.
We've had some 18 inches at my parents' house, in the suburbs, and it's been a strange couple days, having spent most of the 2 days indoors, with 2 toddlers.
Sure, you're thinking... "Why aren't you going out to play in the snow?" Well, we've also had temperatures in the teens, and winds at some 40-50mph, so playing in the snow is not all fun. Besides, as I've said before, Phoenix wasn't much interested, and he would probably be buried in some spots, due to drifts of snow falling from the rooftops.
Willik and I did go out today, and played for about a half hour. Well, he played and I shoveled mostly, but we did make some snow angels, and he had fun climbing around some "mountains".
My husband, while away, has had a great time. During his weekend from classes, he and a friend drove to Albuquerque and went snowboarding. Yup! He's living it up as a "bachelor".
I'm really happy for him, actually! I know he works hard, and is a wonderful husband and dad, and had he been here, he'd be the one shoveling, and he'd be playing with the boys. So, am I envious? -- you bet! But that doesn't mean I can't be happy he had a good time. I love him!
I will add pictures of the snow when I get back home. Stay tuned! And if you think of it, say a prayer for me, that I'll be patient and have the energy to last til friday, alone with the boys, when Fabio returns!
