free mommy
Yes, this is my 2nd day of being a "free" mom. Well, in the best sense of it.
Both boys are in school, and I can devote those 4+ hours to my art, business and ministry.
It is very exciting!
It does however, have it's difficulties.
Driving 2 boys to and fro 2 different schools takes time-- about 2.5 hours outta my day.
And getting them out of the house by 7:45am, with tummies filled with breakfast is another task which is nearly impossible. It should get even more interesting once winter is here, and we have to bundle up, and drive in the snow.
Dropping off Willik has it's own challenges, with very little parking available, double parking happens often. And as it was the case this morning, dealing with new school butterflies, and pleading and crying about not wanting to go makes it quite heart-wrenching.
Phoenix has had his own troubles. Even though the first day he barely looked back, both mornings, he too, cried, and didn't want to stay at school at first.
I know that's where they need to be, and I know this is where I need to be, so with prayer, and resolve, my days have been productive, though with not so much art stuff yet.
I have finished reading the novel, Squat by Taylor Field, and hope to post a review here in the next day or so.

Amor - you are working your butt off. Don't let anyone say that you are not working.
I'm also excited that you have a couple of hours to devote to art and business related things. I just hope that you feel very appreciated and loved by me. You not only are trying to keep the kids' tummies full and their clothes warm, but you are always making my life easier by making sure I have lunch boxed up for work every day.
I can't wait to see what things you'll be writing about by the end of the school year.
